It's easy to use, has a clean, and was very simple to set up. This product was perfect for the purpose. I purchased this product to provide additional USB ports for my new iMac, and also to make the ports easily accessible. (The iMac has its 3 USB ports on the rear of the display/system unit).
Belkin put a lot of thought into this 4-port USB hub and it works great.
I would not hesitate to buy it again. Works great. I simply plugged it into my Mac Mini (which is 3 years old now) and it worked flawlessly with Flash/stick things, a stereo, cameras, printer.
It comes with a 2.1 amp "wall-wart" switching power supply, which is smaller and more efficient than the linear power supplies that come with some USB hubs. A USB to mini-USB cable is included, which is probably about 6 feet long and of average quality. The non-skid feet on the bottom of this hub seem to do an adequate job at keeping it in place on a desk. This hub is black, not brown. The plug is rotated 90 degrees, which is nice for plugging into an electrical outlet, but annoying for a power strip. The USB input is of the mini-USB variety, not a standard type B connection. The cord management groove is a nice touch.I'd give it 5 stars if they just got the color right. I wish I could say it was a really, really dark shade of brown, but it's quite simply black. Perhaps future manufacturing runs will get the color right.Functionally, this hub seems fine.
Not very convenient (for a jump drive). One hub worked and others didn't. I bought this hub because I needed a simple output for my Macbook and this looked like a cool hub. Same as for my ipod. It's going back and I'll try the 7-port. First, the color is black, not brown and it throws off the entire looks of it. My jump drive worked on top, but not on the side port unless it was plugged in.
